II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The contractor shall provide security services, which includes building security and stewarding services on a call-off basis for all internal and external areas.
The contractor shall provide a professionally managed, high-quality security, guarding service that has BS7858:2012 – Security screening of individuals employed in a security environment and BS7499:2007 – static guarding and mobile patrol or equivalent accreditation and complies with all legislation governing the security industry.
The contractor shall provide a professionally managed, high-quality event stewarding service which complies with BS8406:2009
The contractor shall also have options to provide high-quality close protection staff, canine teams, CCTV monitoring staff and concierge to the employer on an as required basis.
There will be an opportunity for a site visit to Manchester Central on Tuesday 3rd December. The visit will take the form of a small briefing, followed by a walk-around of the venue in order to possibly observe an event and an opportunity for open questions.
Please email procurement@manchestercentral.co.uk with the names of those attendees wishing to join the site visit by 4 p.m. on Monday 2nd December. A maximum of 2 personnel from each bidding organisation will be permitted to attend. Dependent upon availability, bidders will book on to a slot either between 10.00 a.m. or 2 p.m. and the visits will begin at Manchester Central’s concierge. A further date may become available due to late bidders.
