Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI) 2019 – billed as the world’s leading defence event – takes place in London this week.
Now in its 11th year, DSEI is taking place across four days (10-13 September) will feature over 1600 exhibitors, 300 speakers, and representation from over 50 countries as over 35,000 attendees make their way to Excel in London.
The event will have five key domain-focused Zones: Aerospace, Land, Naval, Security & Joint, all showcasing the latest equipment and systems.
The expanded Aerospace Zone will feature fixed, rotary wing, and unmanned platforms including a range of static displays to compliment a number of aerospace supply chain exhibitors.
The Zone also includes a newly formed Hub dedicated to Space, as well as the Air Seminar featuring military and industry speakers, including Chief of the Air Staff.
The Land Zone will contain the Land Seminar, which will feature presentations including keynote addresses from UK Ministers and MOD Service Chiefs.
There will also be a static display showcasing the latest vehicles brought by collaborations from prime companies, SMEs and manufacturers.
Likewise, the Naval Zone will also feature presentations including keynote addresses from First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff and a naval static display.
The Security Zone will host keynote addresses from the National Security Adviser. Subjects covered will include Cyber Defence and Security, Counter Terrorism and Improvised Threats, Security in Complex Environments as well as Security Industry Engagement.
New for 2019 is the Cyber Hub, which will contain a range of exhibitors from the cyber security industry, underpinned by world-leading scientific research and development.
The Joint Zone features the latest products and innovations across the defence and security sectors with three key hubs: Communication, Medical and Innovation.
Exhibitors from the C4ISTAR, Communications, DIO, Electronic Warfare, Joint Enablers, Logistics, Medical, Robotics & Telemedicine sectors will also be represented.
The Strategic Conference and keynote speaker programme will provide the opportunity to hear from representatives from across defence including an address from the Chief of Defence Staff and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence.
Grant Burgham, DSEI Event Director said: “DSEI 2019 will not only be the biggest edition to date – with more exhibiting companies from outside ‘traditional’ defence and new international pavilions – but the most comprehensive. There will be even more to see and do, with debut features, content and demos.”
