DPRTE 2018 is delighted to announce that Roll Royce and Raytheon will join Qinetiq, General Electric and Cammell Laird at the Prime Contractor Engagement Village at the UK’s premier defence procurement event taking place at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on 27 March.
DPRTE 2018 offers the defence supply chain a vital opportunity to connect with MOD Tier 1 contractors at its dedicated Prime Contractor Engagement Village.
Smaller suppliers, or those new to the defence marketplace, can use the Prime Contractor Engagement Village as a stepping-stone onto the Ministry of Defence supply chain.
Innovative sub-contracting was embraced in the Government’s National Security Strategy and Strategic Defence and Security Review (SDSR) 2015, which encourages SME and non-traditional suppliers to sell to the UK defence marketplace.
To achieve this, the MOD has created a new network of Supply Chain Advocates who are signposting opportunities in the marketplace through transparency of supply chain competition; this ground-breaking programme can be used as a starting point for conversations in the Prime Contractor Engagement Village at DPRTE.
The Village will afford visitors the opportunity to meet directly with many of the key Prime Contractors that are currently engaged within the delivery of MOD projects, thereby providing an insight into possible future subcontract opportunities and facilitating the development of fresh working relationships.
Appointments will be on a first come, first served basis and will be allocated on arrival at the event at the entrance to the Prime Contractor Engagement Village.
