A new zone at the UK’s leading defence procurement and supply chain exhibition will offer opportunities for contractors to meet and work with the UK MOD’s infrastructure organisation.
DIO is to host an Infrastructure and Estates Pavilion for the first time at the Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE), at the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, on April 1, 2020.
The space will allow both buyers and suppliers to connect with key DIO personnel and gain an insight into the latest initiatives, developments and opportunities within defence infrastructure.
DPRTE Managing Director Simon Burges said: “DIO represents an annual spend of approximately £3 billion on construction and infrastructure services. The new zone offers an important opportunity for current and potential suppliers to support the commissioning, building and maintenance of infrastructure for the men and women who serve our country in the Armed Forces.”
DIO is undergoing a commercial transformation following last year’s launch of its Commercial Strategy, with the aim of making it easier for the supply chain to engage with the organisation.
With over 1500 delegates expected, DPRTE is now established as the UK’s leading annual defence procurement and supply chain event. The one-day event offers an unrivalled opportunity for defence sector personnel to engage with organisations of all sizes across industry.
The other themed zones are: Equipment and supplies; Prime Contractor and Supply Chain; Technology and Innovation; Export and Business Growth and Procurement Skills.
A Live Keynote Arena will also host speeches by Minister of Defence Procurement Anne-Marie Trevelyan, motivational speaker Colonel Tim Collins and Andrew Forzani, Chief Commercial Officer for the MOD.
Sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are now available. For further details, please email exhibitions@dprte.co.uk or call 0845 270 7066.
