Ken Skates AM, the Welsh Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport, has been confirmed as the latest name to appear at Defence Procurement, Research, Technology & Exportability (DPRTE) 2019.
The event, taking place at Cardiff’s Motorpoint Arena on 28 March next year, will see Ken deliver a keynote address take alongside Stuart Andrew MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Ministry of Defence); Jim Carter, MOD’s Supply Chain Director; and Ant Middleton, best known for his role as Chief Instructor on hit show, ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’.
As Welsh Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Transport, Mr Skates provides support and advice to assist the establishment, growth or development of business and promotes Wales as a key location for business and investment.
Held across a single day, DPRTE 2019 offers a unique opportunity to showcase goods and services, as well as the chance to engage directly with both the key personnel and organisations responsible for setting strategy and operationally delivering an annual budget of over £19 billion.
The event’s Keynote Arena will be home to a range of the leading and most influential speakers from across the defence procurement and supply chain marketplace.
Attendees will have an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from those personnel who are actively engaged in both setting and delivering the direction of the UK’s defence procurement and supply chain strategy.
