General Sir Chris Deverell, Commander Joint Forces Command, is to give the public a unique opportunity to join him in a discussion on Twitter about innovation.
From 5pm to 6pm, on 26 July 2018, Gen Chris will take questions on the subject of innovation in UK defence and the valuable work that Joint Forces Command is doing in this area on the social network platform.
Those with any questions about the work carried out in this area or wanting to know more about why it is important for UK defence to innovate, are invited to ask a question.
Questions should be sent as a tweet to the @ComdJFC_UK twitter account and include the hashtag #AskJFC to help identify tweets.
Through the likes of the Defence and Security and Accelerator (DASA) and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), the Ministry of Defence harnesses the disruptive power of innovation to maintain an advantage in the battlefield.
DASA has recently launched a competition aimed at the private sector and academia, to seek innovative solutions and approaches to accessing, disabling and/or irreversibly destroying chemical and biological weapons munitions, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and bulk agents on the battlefield.
