II.1.4) Short Description: Nottingham City Council is seeking tenders from sufficiently experienced and qualified contractors for the provision of Community Protection Officer Training Services.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
A supplier is required to deliver a range of programmes/subject areas needed for the role of a Community Protection Officer (CPO).
CPOs are expected to complete and pass the basic skills training course. CPOs will have been previously short listed, tested, interviewed and vetted before being placed on this course. After the basic skills training course is completed the trainer must produce a pass certificate, a scoring matrix for each officer on each module / programme with a total score overall and final comments. There will be a minimum percentage pass score provided by CP contract manager. If trainers have concerns with individual officers during the training this needs to be raised with CP contract manager at that time and a final report written highlighting the issues and concerns. This would then form the agenda to a meeting with the Head of Service for Uniform Services or an Operations Manager.
After completing the course staff will be:
— Confident that they can control a situation (enforcement lead service),
— Confident they can defend themselves if necessary / required.
