Business Design and Systems Analyst able to assess requirement of ViSOR Governance and Change Management Groups and design change and amendments to process on application. Compile these as themed release packages and design their content. Oversee development of these release packages and engage in deployment on the Police National Computer.

About the work
Who the specialist will work with : Specialist will be working directly with an Oracle Database Design and Administrator, 3 Oracle Developers, 2 Oracle Test Analysts, the Product and Service Manager. Plus regular interfaces with Governance members, users and PNC technicians
What the specialist will work on: ViSOR Releases for 2018/19, Support for ViSOR Migration, Static Maintenance Releases, 3rd Line Support on Business Issues, Data Extract Reports, FOI Requests, Input on ITHC issues, Assistance with transition to NLEDS, Support improvements to Business Continuity
Work setup
Working arrangements: Expectation to be onsite for 5 day working week. However, home working facility being sought for use no more that 2 working days per week. Onsite working to be in a secure area with JDT-ViSOR
Security clearance: SC and NPPV Level 3
Skills and experience
Buyers will use the essential and nice-to-have skills and experience to help them evaluate suppliers’ technical competence.
Essential skills and experience : Business/System Analysis skills to transform user requirements into a design for the application
Knowledge of Java/JSPs/JavaScript/SQL to a) help to inform the design and b) investigate live issues
Knowledge of design and performance tuning of J2EE applications using WebLogic
Knowledge of legislation and how to implement it within the application, including (but not limited to): Sexual Offences Act 2003, Criminal Justice Act 2003, Anti-Terrorism Act 2008,
Criminal Justice and Immigration Act 2009, Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009, Sexual Offences Act 2003 (Remedial) (Scotland) Order 2011,
Sexual Offences Act 2003 (Notification Requirements) (England and Wales) Regulations 2012
Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
Knowledge of testing to assist with test creation and implementation.
Expert user of RoboHelp HTML for authoring, generating and publishing online help
Nice-to-have skills and experience: Expert user of Microsoft Office Expert user of Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate at any level up to National User Group/Steering Groups/Chief Constables
