The objective of this assignment is to strengthen the Climate Resilience of EDFC and thereby of DFC, for the critical climate change parameters of temperature variation and floods. The assignment will recommend appropriate systems for the establishment of Early Warning Systems (EWS) and strengthening operational emergency preparedness for EDFC. The assignment will comprise of the following activities: Review of climate Screening Analysis for the EDFC Project, Review and Analyze the current and proposed operational practices of managing climate risks in railways and EDFC project, Review international practices of rail freight corridor operators in managing temperature variations and flooding, Conduct workshop on options for managing temperature variation and flooding Risks at EDFC, Recommend Systems and processes for managing temperature variation and flooding risks at EDFC
