Summary: The MOD has announced that engineering group AMEC Plc has secured a position on a framework agreement to provide a range of technical services.
The agreement pre-qualifies the company to bid for the supply of specialist environmental and energy related services as required by the MOD. The work will cover everything from installations, facilities and construction to environmental management, transport and ‘through-life support’ support.
Additionally, the energy work will cover installations and safety management.
MOD framework agreement
The MOD’s Framework Agreement for Technical Support – Specialist Technical Support is for a period of two years with additional optional one-year extension.
FATS/STS is an umbrella supply chain agreement used by the MOD Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) organisation to ensure the efficient and cost effective procurement of technical services to support the provision of equipment and capability.
Major MOD supplier
AMEC said in a press release that the appointment would enable the engineering group to take projects in new areas.
